I am a happy, hungry health enthusiast who is fascinated by all things food related. I LOVE
cooking, baking, reading, travelling, snowboarding, wakeboarding, paddle boarding, hula hooping, boxing and yoga! I would say that I like to work out but truthfully, I probably only do it so I can EAT MORE FOOD!!
Over the years I have fallen prey to many, if not all, of the dietary pitfalls so many of us resort to in an effort to manage our health, fitness and specifically our WEIGHT. I've succumbed to everything from the Cabbage soup Diet to preportioned, prepackaged "food-like" meals (i.e. Healthy Choice, Lean Cuisine, etc.), to all out starvation and even my very own holiday creation I dubbed The Ham & Fudge Diet ;)
All of these misguided attempts to regain control of my health, coupled with so much confusing and conflicting dietary information, put me firmly on the path of a textbook yo-yo dieter! However, the desire to achieve true, sustainable, life-long health for me and my family was always there and so I continued to soldier on. Through much reading, research, self-exploration and experimentation I have been able to overcome many of the obstacles that have kept me from being my best self! Including the perpetual cycle of losing and gaining the same 30lbs, multiple digestive issues like, IBS, Leaky Gut Syndrome and the subsequent food allergies/sensitivities that came with it, as well as a host of "Primary Food" imbalances that affected me on more mental/emotional level...to name just a few.
All of these conditions, along with others not mentioned, were reversed or improved through a whole foods diet, realistic and incremental lifestyle changes and adopting a fun and rewarding exercise and activity routine that is completely customized for my unique body and lifestyle!
The more I learned, the more fascinated I became with the profound effect of food on our bodies and in our lives. Interest became passion and passion became a calling. That's when I decided to seek out formal training to bring this transformational experience to you.
I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition
, where I studied a variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. With my knowledge, we co-create completely personalized actions based on your
